3 in 1, simple way to explain mind body and soul.

They say that everyman goes through a Mid-Life Crisis, well I tend to agree. However, I did not go through the new car, an affair, the change in style/fashion, the new hobby etc.. I have been given a Mental Health diagnosis.  Yes, I had a couple of "acute stress episodes" (formally they used to be called 'a breakdown'), following a dark period in my life, over a couple of years, I have been diagnosed with Endogenous Depression.  So being in my 40s and having attempted suicide, you could say it was a true crisis, in my mid-life.  However, was it, is it, will it be?  I have begun to question myself, who I am, what have I achieved, what am I, what am I going to do, what is my purpose?  At this point I am not going to be discussing my full personal journey, or be to detailed about me, my past, or current state.  However, my personal and professional experiences have drawn me to my current conclusions and hypothesis of the Tripartite me. Some people may not know the term

The Why me? question. Will make you think. mind body and soul. part 1

How often do we have those "Why?" days? So many of us experience them; those days we question everything, and inevitably it is always from a negative perspective. "Why did this happen to me", "why is it always me that...", "how come that never happens to/for me", "it is always my..... is it never their/them…..", "why always my family...", and many more that I am sure we have either used or heard.  Isn't it interesting that our default mode is in the negative, rather than the positive.. I have never heard anyone complain, that their family is always the one that succeeds, or they are always the one to get the promotion, or even they wish they had less.. etc..  Even those who have more than many of us will ever have, such as, Sam Smith; who has fame, fortune, big house with grounds, a pool etc.. He still complained during #lockdown . It is almost as we always want more, or better, or greater etc..  However, I wonder if Tru

Does the jigsaw of Life ever make you question.

Have you ever asked yourself "why?!" That is in any specific situation or current circumstance in your life you have questioned, what the... is going on and why me, why now, why why why?. If you haven't then Who or What are you? Donald Trump maybe?!.  Seriously though we all have periods like this in our lives.  Sometimes they appear to be random events/circumstances that are effecting us, occasionally they are a direct result of someone else's actions or decisions, and sometimes they are a consequence of our own choices (good or bad), actions, or words. I have often asked the same question myself, and as I have gotten older and entered my 40's I have learnt that these are all seasons in my life and I have survived thus far. Admittedly, there were some touch and go situations and circumstances.  I was asked by a Psychiatric Nurse what are my regrets or do I regret any of my choices, actions etc.   I will add at this point that I am deliberately using the wor

The amazing brush strokes will make you look again at life!

I find it amazing, in fact fascinating how many people look at the fine details of every circumstance.  Art critics will analyse, study, debate, critique the minute details of artworks, sometimes surmising what the artist intended, wanted to portray, how they wanted us to feel etc.  However, for the "uneducated" like myself I just look at the picture, sculpture etc and think... In other words I look at the completed picture and consider what is it and do I like it? Maybe some would call me a Philistine, but to be honest I like to look at the bigger picture.  I know some people who, were they to be given a jigsaw would spend hours examining each piece, probably complaining that they can not see what it is, or what relevance it may have. Certainly, the central pieces they may even go as far as to say, these are useless, all misshapen no straight edges to conform with the other pieces etc.. however, when they loose sight of that one central piece the bigger picture will ne
